We are taking a look at the latest leather Vanity bag offerings from Louis Vuitton and Dior to see which is a better buy. Coming in at $3,000 USD, the Louis Vuitton Vanity PM features black Empreinte Monogram leather with a braided handle. The DiorTravel Vanity bag for Cruise 2021 is more expensive at $3,700.00 (USD) and features an adjustable strap. Both are made of Lambskin embossed leather, although the Louis Vuitton version is a bit shinier. The strap on the Louis Vuitton version is not adjustable but has a more intricate braided gold hardware strap. Although, both are the same style we are going to review which is the better buy for those looking to invest in the latest leather vanity case bags.

Size Comparison

Louis Vuitton Vanity PM 7.5″ x 5.1″ x 4.3″

Louis Vuitton Vanity is slightly bigger

Bottom Feet Yes No
Interior Lining Microfiber Textile
Hardware Gold includes Padlock and Leather Clochette Gold

The winner between both styles is clearly the Louis Vuitton Vanity PM as it comes at a lower price point, slightly larger size, additional hardware including the padlock and clochette. The Dior Vanity is also a great piece if you desire it in more colors as the Vanity PM is currently only available in Black.  The DiorTravel is available in a variety of colors including Beige, Red and Green. The Vanity PM is going to be made available in order styles including the GameOn Capsule collection but in Monogram Canvas.

The non leather versions are also a great buy although we would opt for the Monogram Canvas version versus textile, as the Monogram Canvas is more durable. The textile version from Dior would wear out over time so if you’re looking for something that will last longer it would be best to opt for coated canvas.
