For Dior Fall Winter 2020, Maria Grazia Chiuri stuck to the tried and true formula of their most popular styles made into soft velvet materials. Dior Book Totes re-appeared with the cannage print that was first introduced in Spring 2020, coupled with more oblique logo bags featuring ‘Christian Dior’ in bold lettering. There was a renewed focus on the Dior 30 Montaigne style as it appears in numerous new shapes including a top handle tote, which is found in the press preview but not on the runway. It appeared on the runway in a number of iterations form soft sided, suede and leather cannage printed. The 30 Montaigne is slowly taking over the Diorama bags, which have mostly been discontinued in stores.  A 70’s theme was apparent throughout the runway collection and a new style featuring the 30 Montaigne CD logo with a saddle bag frame (reminds us of the Horsebit styles from Gucci). Another simplified tote is also featured in full leather and rectangular frame also appeared on the runway.
