The much awaited collaboration of Louis Vuitton x Supreme has finally been made available to the public. Eight pop-up stores in major cities opened last June 30, these includes Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Sydney. The long lines in the pop-up stores comes with a ticketing system, wherein only few people are allowed in the shop with a time limit allowed inside the shop. Some customers have waited in line overnight just to get hold of the exclusive collection.
Celebrities like Justin Bieber, Madonna, Chiara Ferragni, Italian rapper Fedez and K-pop star Sandara Park have already been spotted in their own Louis Vuitton x Supreme piece. The most bought items in the collection are the Box Logo Hoodie and T-shirt. Meanwhile, in eBay, resellers have already emerged with items selling more than double of its original price. The T-shirt with an original price of $485 is being sold at $1,000 to $2,000, while the baseball jersey goes up to $7,800. The red hoodie which retailed for $935, are priced at $4,000 and up, the leather blouson jacket is priced at $9,000 and up, while the monogram cap is being sold at $2,000. The brand's signature Epi Keepall with the Supreme logo is now priced at $9,500 for the size 45, the original price is $3,650 and the bid for size 55 goes up to $12,000. Resell prices are expected to go higher on the next couple of days. Despite the high price, many are still willing to pay, just to own the limited edition pieces.
The pop-up stores are supposed to be open in 12 days, however, Los Angeles and Miami are now closed as items have sold out already. The full Louis Vuitton x Supreme Collection will be available in select Louis Vuitton stores on July 14, 2017.
