For the final day of Paris Fashion Week, Louis Vuitton has unveiled their Spring/Summer 2018 Collection at Louvre’s Pavillon de l’Horloge. Nicolas Ghesquière has described his latest collection as an 'anachronism with a hint of romanticism'. The collection is a mix of past and present. Models walked the runway in Victorian inspired tailcoats with intricate beading, worn with shorts and sneakers. He even showed his love for sci-fi, by presenting a t-shirt with Netflix's Stranger Things poster.
As for the handbags, mini hat boxes that were also featured in the Cruise 2018 show, were seen in the catwalk. A more structured version of the iconic Speedy bag was included in the collection. It comes in plain leather with Monogram Canvas handles and straps. This combination can also be seen in the cube-shaped handbags that comes with chain strap. The Chain It bag that debuted in the Spring/Summer 2017 Collection, makes a return this season. Louis Vuitton's classic Monogram Canvas leather is widely used in the new bags, including saddle, large tote and mini bags.
