As the new Creative Director for Parisian brand Celine, Hedi Slimane has made some drastic changes to the brand’s logo, albeit in a small way. The accent on the E has now been removed, taking its inspiration from the original logo in the 1960s. The spaces between the letters have also been balanced out making it closer together. For die hard Celine bag owners does this pose a problem since the accent is a identifier to stamp out counterfeits?

Celine’s Instagram account has been updated with teaser videos and photos for his upcoming collection with the #CELINEBYHEDISLIMANE.
Recently, Lady Gaga has shared some of her photos with Slimane’s first bag creation for Celine. The bag features a front flap with a top handle and a gold turn lock closure. Hedi Slimane’s debut collection for Celine will be presented during Paris Fashion Week on September 28, 2018.
