Balenciaga has recently unveiled their Spring/Summer 2018 Collection. As expected, Demna Gvasalia featured unique creations, as he's not one to shy away from introducing out-of-this world designs. As the brand presented their newest collection, so does their new logo, a simple look inspired by "public transportation signage".
The logo appears on this season's handbags including belt bags which were worn across the shoulder in the runway, and Chanel-inspired flap bags. The BB Round M Flap Bag comes in removablechain strap with signature charms like the Eiffel Tower, heart, keys and letter B. Top Handle bags appears in a cover similar to a raincoat. The clutch bags comes in various prints that were also seen in the ready-to-wear items, like camo, dollar and Euro. The brand also introduces a hard case vanity bag which seems to be inspired of a motorcycle helmet case.
Aside from the handbags, the most talked about accessory in the collection is the platform Crocs. Balenciaga has collaborated with Crocs, to create a 10 cm platform version, called the "Foam" shoes. The Foam can be decorated with various plastic charms, and comes in colors such as Yellow and Pink.
Some of the items from the Spring/Summer 2018 Collection are now available for pre-order at Balenciaga.com, including the BB Round Flap and Hard Case bags.
