After the successful finale of Alexander Wang presenting Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2016 Collection, the Parisian brand has finally announced their new Creative Director. Demna Gvasalia of Vêtements will be replacing Wang for this position.
Georgian designer Gvasalia graduated from Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, and has worked for Maison Martin Margiela and Louis Vuitton, before he started Vêtements with six other designers in 2014. He is set to showcase his first show for Balenciaga on March 2016, for the Fall/Winter 2016 Collection.
