Balenciaga has finally released the debut collection of handbags by their new Creative Director, Alexander Wang for Fall/Winter 2013. The new bag which is named “Le Dix”, means “The 10” in French. It refers to the address of the original Balenciaga boutique in 10 Avenue George V, Paris. Le Dix was also the name of the Balenciaga’s first fragrance, as well as the very popular Balenciaga Motorcycle bags, when it was first launched.
Compared to the bags in the brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 Runway Collection, the newly released bags have been given few changes. The Runway Collection Bags were only seen in black and white, it now comes in additional colors, Forest Green and Pearl Grey. The lock has also been changed, which is now a little clasp. It still has the sleek design, a top handle bag, which includes an adjustable strap and has a mix of palladium and gold hardware.
Prices start from $995.00 (USD) for a pochette to $2,250.00 (USD) for the Le Dix Cartable Zip Bag. The collection is set to be available August 2013.
