Chanel vintage flaps also come in medium sizes, so smaller than your typical Vintage Jumbo. The Vintage flaps include very interesting patterns in either mixed variations or in a slightly flatter quilt than the updated versions. For instance, the regular quilt on lambskin only appears in a flatter matted form versus the updated quilted bags which appear puffier. The ‘Metalesse’ patter features a combination of a border and inner quilt that is no longer produced by Chanel. There is also Chevron which is a classic pattern that has been updated in recent years but can be found among vintage flaps.

Prices vary depending on the age and condition of the bag; however, a vintage flap is the most economical way to own a Chanel flap nowadays and retails for approximately $1,700-$2,500 USD depending on the pattern, and size. Vintage flaps typically only appear in gold hardware.
